I am a quantitative plant ecologist interested in phenology, plant traits and seed dispersal.

Ella earnt Deans' Commendation for her research during her recent Master of Conservation Science from UQ and worked in the Australian ecology and conservation industry. Ella has demonstrated her passion for conservation and ecology through multiple volunteer and paid roles. She has the ability to draw from both her formal scenic training (fieldwork, experimental design, and data analysis), and personal experiences such as tutoring university level class and field courses, and living and working in remote Indigenous communities. Ella has solid foundation in ecological data analysis in R and teaches biostatistics at UQ.

Ella also specialises in using histological techniques to image the vascular systems of rainforest trees.
